OF GEORGIA’S CAPITAL CITY – TBILISI
Take a moment to catch your breath before the adventures unfold. Embark on a
walking tour, set against the sunrise, uncovers the vibrant core of the city. Our path
leads to Metekhi Church, where past and present harmonize exquisitely. For
panoramic splendor, the 4th-century Narikala Fortress offers breathtaking
cityscape views. Exploring further, the old sulfur bath district and Leghvtakhevi
beckon. Wander amid the Old Town’s heart, following winding paths and
charming bridges, eventually reaching a picturesque waterfall. Later during the
day, you can explore Tbilisi by your own preferences. Overnight in Tbilisi.
In the morning, start driving towards Mtskheta – former capital city of Georgia. Firstly, visit Jvari monastery and have an amazing panoramic view over the town and collision of 2 rivers – Mtkvari and Aragvi.
Next, drive towards Kazbegi. Stop at Jinvali water reservoir and later, visit Ananuri fortress, full OF history and an amazing view over Jinvali reservoir. Next, stop at Gudauri Ski resort and have eye-watering views over the surrounding mountains. Finally, arrive at Stepantsminda (also known as Kazbegi). Check in to hotel. Overnight in Stepantsminda
In the late morning, visit Gergeti holy trinity church. This 14th century construction, located on 2250m. has a great panoramic views on Mt. Kazbegi (5054m.) and the town itself. Later, drive back to Stepantsminda. Have the rest of the day for your leisure. Overnight in Kazbegi.
Start driving towards Kakheti, largest and easternmost region of Georgia, famous for its winemaking traditions. Scenic route will take you to Alaverdi Cathedral, one of the largest and most important religious constructions in medieval time Georgia. Later, visit Telavi – Capital city of the region and have a guided tour in the local museum and palace of King Erekle II. Finally, arrive to your hotel in Telavi. Overnight in Telavi.
On day 6, visit Tsinandali Estate, belonged to one of the most prominent Georgian noble families – Chavchavadze. Have a guided tour and later, visit Enoteca, where oldest wines of Georgia are kept. Next, drive to Sighnaghi – A SMALL town located on hilltop and having VIEWS over THE ALAZANI valley and surrounding mountains. Have a short walking tour in the town and finally, arrive at the local winery to have a wine tasting. Next, drive towards Tbilisi. Overnight in Tbilisi.
